During National Nurses Week, we're honoring our DFW Great 100 Nurses award winners. Today it's Kimm Wright, a 40-year veteran of Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She's a charge nurse, mentor, preceptor, and more. As a clinical instructor, she motivates nursing students every day to do their best and inspires them with her positive attitude. She also teaches at a local college and empowers the nursing faculty to maintain the highest standards. Congratulations, Kimm!
Methodist Dallas has a brand-new cardiac cath lab, and we couldn't be more excited about it! The lab's new equipment is among the latest systems for cardiovascular interventions, and it will deliver even sharper images. We had a small blessing ceremony to mark the occasion, and we do feel truly blessed!

We at Methodist would like to wish our Hindu friends a happy Holi today. Known as "the festival of colors," Holi marks the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil. It's India's most vivid and joyous festival, filled with song and dance and, most of all, color! Happy Holi!
Walking tall! Several staff members at Methodist Midlothian are exercising their right to stay healthy. They've created the Healthy Heart Club. Their aim is to make a habit of taking regular 1-mile walks around the hospital. Go for it, team!
DFW Great 100 Nurses awards honors the top-ranked healthcare heroes out of more than 50,000 nurses across the Metroplex. Methodist is proud that six of our nurses were recognized this year: Candice McCumber and Kimm Wright, Methodist Dallas; Tiffany Au and Alaana Garris, Methodist Charlton; and Teresa Ortiz and Brooks Williams, Methodist Mansfield. Awesome nurses!
In challenging times (say a pandemic), one of the best things we can do for our mental health is to find things in our lives that we can be grateful for. You've heard this many times, but you may not have heard it expressed as eloquently as Bonnie Hurst does in the Methodist blog "Make Space for Gratitude." Take a few minutes to read it. You may find yourself feeling thankful that you have the resources to access helpful insights like hers.
Who needs to de-stress? Probably all of us! Here are some tips from Kathleen Ross, the wellness director of Methodist. Take a deep breath and read this short blog post. Take care of yourself!
