You are our hero, Brandon Rogers of the Midlothian Fire Department! Methodist Mansfield awarded Brandon with our Community Health Hero Award at a recent city council meeting. He was off duty when he saw a woman about to jump off an overpass in Waxahachie. Brandon grabbed the woman and brought her to safety. We're honored to recognize you!
You can't even buy Girl Scout cookies right now, but the emergency department at Methodist Richardson got their Thin Mint fix for free, thanks to Troop 2786! The Girl Scouts donated seven cases of cookies to frontline workers as part of their Gift of Caring program. It was a community service project to support their hometown heroes. We'll eat up that kind of support any day!
D Magazine threw a big party for the honorees of its 2021 Excellence in Nursing Awards a couple weeks ago, and 18 Methodist nurses were on the list of winners. The Methodist Dallas quad squad came out for Memorial Day, and they're looking good for Flag Day, too! These patriotic cuties weighed 2 pounds at birth and spent three months in our neonatal intensive care unit. Look at them now! May their sweet, young lives remind us of what these national holidays are all about.
D CEO Healthcare's Will Maddox sat down with Methodist CEO Jim Scoggin to talk about the COVID-19 pandemic one year later. Here are nine (with more to come): Maxine Adegbola, Tiffany Au, Sharon Blackerby, Michael Busch, Kimberly Cline-Walker, Nora Frasier, Joshua Lamb, Madison Lowrance, and Alexandra Luttrell. Congratulations, nurses!

Read his heartfelt tribute to her, "Honoring a Special Caregiver," on our blog.
