Methodist just set a record for lifesaving transplants! Our team performed 63 transplants in just three months — April, May, and June. That’s the busiest period in the history of our transplant program. That’s also giving a lot of people a second chance at life!
Methodist Dallas is proud to be the founding community partner for Elmwood Farm, created to empower the Oak Cliff community with healthy food options. What's more, we've teamed up with the urban garden to launch an educational video series called “Field to Plate: Seasonal Cooking for Everyone.” In the first episode, Wellness Coach Carey Shore shows viewers how to use an entire vegetable from root to stem. We're hungry for more! Watch it at the link below!

Does hope spring eternal? Absolutely! That's the message this mural at Methodist Dallas sends. It was created on a blank wall that's visible to patients and their families in the waiting room of the transplant unit. Thank you Benson Chacko, vice president of operations, for the idea. And thank you to the artist, Chris Gonzalez, for the inspiring image!
It was the best doggone training ever! Methodist Mansfield and Methodist Midlothian each held their annual Skills Day, a training event to help patient care technicians sharpen their skills so they can give our patients top-notch care. Methodist Mansfield staff also got a friendly visit from therapy dogs Robby and Lucy, who lapped up the attention as the teachers' pets!
Ariyan Azad Bozorgnia was born just before Memorial Day weekend at Methodist Mansfield, and the nurses made sure the little guy was decked out in a red, white, and blue cap handmade by a local resident! His dad Hassan is a Technical Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force Reserve in Fort Worth, so clearly the family is patriotic. The nurses ensured that every baby born over the holiday weekend got their own all-American cap!
Here are just a few highlights of the groundbreaking of our $71 million expansion of the emergency department at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. Dallas Cowboys fans may just see a familiar face.
Captain America made a heroic gesture when he paid a visit to Methodist Midlothian during National Nurses Week. Our own superheroes were tickled to be honored!
Dr. Harold Kolni retired in May after three decades treating our tiniest patients in the NICU at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. In an adorable coincidence, one of his first patients, herself a preemie 35 years ago, just had a preemie son of her own, who just happens to be one of Dr. Kolni's last patients.
In a show of strength and solidarity, Methodist Richardson patients and staff celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day with a fun photo booth. The event was an uplifting way to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges that cancer survivors, fighters, and their caregivers face.
