Ever wondered what it's like to work for Methodist Dallas? Listen to our nurses talk about how we faced the pandemic together and why they're proud to be part of a Magnet®-designated, Military Friendly® hospital with a Level I Trauma Center. It's a high-powered, highly recognized hospital, but when you're on our team, it feels like family.
Methodist Midlothian was a player at Midlothian High School's annual Pink Out game! Breast cancer surgeon Dr. Birdwell and a local breast cancer survivor presented the game ball. Dr. Birdwell and Director of Ancillary Services Melissa Seale posed with the Midland Pantherettes, who are the Pink Out organizers. A win-win for breast cancer awareness and Midlothian ISD!
Wow! Mouser Electronics delivered more than 600 individual homemade pies to Methodist Mansfield staff to thank them for helping save lives during the latest pandemic surge. “We are so thankful for the little things our community does that bring joy and happiness to our employees’ day,” President Juan Fresquez Jr. says. Our hearts and bellies are full!
Around 40 nurse residents at Methodist Charlton participated in a trauma care training. It was part of Stop the Bleed, a national public health campaign. Nurse educators helped residents sharpen their skills in emergency response and wound management. CareFlite liaisons were there also to go over procedures for transporting seriously injured patients. These nurse residents are ready for anything!

We aren't done celebrating the big news yet ... we could watch this all day! Here's the call Methodist Charlton got on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, that our nurses have achieved Magnet® designation, the highest honor awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). What an accomplishment anytime, but especially in the middle of a pandemic. Methodist Charlton joins Methodist Dallas, Methodist Richardson, and Methodist Mansfield as Magnet! Congrats to all.

August is Black Business Month, and it reminds Methodist's vice president of supply chain, Carlos Junca, what it means to be part of an organization that is fully committed to diversity, not only among our employees but our vendors as well. Read "Diversity: We buy it" on our blog.
