The Lunar New Year festivities have come to a close – and our Singapore NICErs ended off strong! Did you know: During Lunar New Year, the iconic Lo-Hei (or the “Prosperity Toss”) is the centerpiece of festivities in Singapore. A vibrant dish made up of ingredients added one by one, NICErs from our Singapore office enjoyed calling out the auspicious greetings for health, luck, good fortune and more, that accompany each ingredient! Wishing a year of abundance, good luck, health and great prosperity to all.
And… That’s a wrap! The 5th edition of the WEM & CEA Tech Fest was a raving success. NICErs from our R&D and Product Management teams spent 2 days jam-packed with awesome sessions focused on pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. From Building Modern APIs to delving into Java17, from Reactive Programming to Chaos Engineering and much much more – thousands of NICErs from around the world enjoyed these live sessions, all led by dozens awesome NICErs. It was definitely one for the books! Who’s ready for the next Tech Fest?
We’re all about supporting the local communities in which we operate. Recently, our Israel office donated a truckload of equipment to shelters for women and girls at risk, classrooms for children on the Autism spectrum, and to a school operating in a neighborhood serving under-privileged families. We contributed hundreds of computers and monitors, bulletin boards, shelves, tables, chairs and loads more office equipment – you name it, it went into the truck! Thank you to all our incredible NICErs who came together to make this happen!
Welcoming the Year of the Rabbit the NICE way! With Lunar New Year festivities continuing around the world, NICErs in our Singapore office enjoyed a spectacular lion dance – a traditional performance believed to bring good luck and fortune and drive away evil spirits. Happy Lunar New Year to all! May the Year of the Rabbit bring prosperity and happiness.
At NICE, we’re all about innovation and invention. Through various year-round learning opportunities, competitions and development programs, NICErs are excelling in AI, cloud and digital. And this is reflected in the sheer number of patents that our NICErs are accumulating! That’s why we’re now introducing… The Patent Wall! The Patent Wall was recently inaugurated at out GTC in Pune, India – a true testament to the innovative and groundbreaking inventions developed by our incredible talents. Our Platinum and Gold inventors officially cut the ribbon, and many of our inventors shared their success stories and their journey to being awarded such patents. The Patent Wall is not just a physical representation of our NICErs’ achievements, it is also a symbol of our commitment to innovation and excellence. We are super excited to continue pushing boundaries and adding to our Patent Wall.
Children make up only 30% of our population, and 100% of our future. And, at NICE, we strongly believe that we have a responsibility to support our local communities. That's why we partnered with the Door Step School Foundation in Pune to promote primary education, especially amongst the communities of migrant-labor families that move from one construction site to another, and are unable to send their children to regular schools. Together with a local NGO, we renovated a bus and converted it into a mobile classroom – literally bringing the joy of education to their doorstep! As part of this initiative, we recently invited over 15 Door Step students to our Pune office for an inspiring learning session. Our incredible NICErs got the kids super excited by teaching them some basic computer skills, as well as other various topics. All of this with the goal of helping these kids reach their full potential so that they may one day be eligible for admission to government schools for primary education. With the right support and education, they can reach for the stars!
Meet Tedd Mills! Tedd joined NICE as a Technical Account Manager in 2017, and was promoted to Senior Account Manager. After a few years, Tedd wanted to further advance his career. He wanted to try his hand at something totally new, so he looked towards the Marketing department! Today, Tedd is a Senior Product Marketing Manager with a focus on Competitive Intelligence. He said, “I was excited about this position because I made a career change but was still able to use my expertise, on how customers utilize the products and platform, to assist in the competitive realm”. Tedd is loving his new domain: “I learned that there is much more to the marketing world than I originally thought, and there is a constant flow of information to learn. I really enjoy that!" Keep it up, Tedd!
There’s so much more to our NICErs than meets the eye! Meet Anubhav Nandi from our GTC in Pune, India. By day he works as a Senior Specialist Client Services Project Manager for our Actimize Professional Services Team and, beyond this, he has been training both physically and mentally for over 2 years… In the last quarter, Anubhav has impressively completed three half Ironman titles. Yes – THREE! That’s a swim of 1.9km in rough ocean waters, a bicycle ride of a whopping 90km and then finally a 21.1km run to the finish line. TIMES THREE! Wow! Anubhav said, “Life is nothing without a passion for doing something extraordinary!” Congrats Anubhav!
Were you on the edge of your seat watching the FIFA World Cup Final? Just imagine how it felt for 4 NICErs and their guests, who as winners of our ‘One Step Ahead’ CEO Challenge, sat in Lusail Stadium soaking up the excitement and thrills of the nail-biting final! Other ‘One Step Ahead’ winners enjoyed exhilarating experiences at Formula One events in Abu Dhabi and Monza, the NBA playoffs and US Open Finals in New York, the UEFA Cup in London and more! At NICE, we’re constantly raising the bar. For our Customers. And for our Employees.
Meet Rachit Bansal! Rachit’s NICE journey began back in 2018 in Singapore when he joined presales as a solution consultant. But, proactive by nature, Rachit was driven by the desire to have more direct ownership of accounts and to be more aligned with the customers. In short, Rachit was determined to make it in the sales world! It wasn’t long before Rachit took on the role of Competitive Displacement Account Manager in 2019 and, most recently, he took up the position of Account Executive in Enterprise Sales. Here’s what Rachit had to say: “Since my career move, I’ve learned more customer-centric selling, negotiation, and how to say ‘no’ (which is super important outside of work as well). This new chapter in my life excites me and motivates me to go see my customers each day with a new perspective on how I can better cater to their needs”. Keep going strong, Rachit!
