Join the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist ( CT/ GEN) and IR). CT/GEN Tech Duties: • Perform Computed Tomography and General (CT/GEN) diagnostic scanning. • Assist research staff in various specialist projects involving obscure diagnostic problems. • Produce high quality radiographic images utilizing computerized imaging systems. • Administer oral and IV contrast media as ordered for the various exams. • Perform analysis and completes all RIS requests; and transfers images /results to PACS for radiologists' review. IR Tech Duties: • Operates and troubleshoot state of the art specialized radiologic equipment and devices. • Assist in the placement of various vascular access devices to support therapeutic interventions of patients on various protocols and treatment plans. • Assist with complex biopsies of tumors for both diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes. • Assist physicians (Interventional Radiologists) in conducting highly specialized diagnostic examinations/procedures in the IR section.
