Community has always been at the heart of Nevada State Bank — and it still is today. As we recently marked our 66th anniversary, we honored one of our favorite traditions by supporting the 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Toy Drive. Thanks to the generosity of our clients and colleagues, we delivered 42 bikes, 31 boxes of toys and a $2,100 donation to HELP of Southern Nevada, benefiting local families, children and more than 100 nonprofit organizations across Southern Nevada. As Nevada’s students head back to the classroom, NSB is proud of the success of our statewide “Fill the Bus” school supply and donation drive for Communities In Schools of Nevada. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our clients and colleagues, we collected an impressive amount of school supplies across our branches and raised $1,397 through online giving, Jeans Fridays and the Colleague Engagement Team’s sweet summer candygram fundraiser. Together, we’re helping students start the school year with the tools they need to thrive. At NSB, our colleagues take immense pride in donating their personal time and effort to charitable projects, volunteering thousands of hours each year for charitable causes. Annually, our colleagues contribute more than 2,500 volunteer hours, serving more than 100 organizations throughout the state.

Las Vegas has faced economic ups and downs, but its magnetism keeps attracting people. Businesses rely on this unique allure, as Jared Lawson, Managing Member of EarthSculpt, Karst Construction, and RSP Plumbing, explains on the latest episode of "Through the Door." “We knew that it would come back; Vegas wasn’t going to die,” Jared said. “There are too many people here, and there’s too much of an attraction to Vegas, that we knew business was going to take off. It was just going to take some time.” Join host Megan Comfort as she discusses with Jared the importance of understanding economic cycles and making strategic business decisions.
