Chad’s Publix journey began in 1998 as a 14-year-old front service clerk. From there, he worked his way through a variety of roles—eventually following his passion for healthcare and joining the pharmacy team as an intern in 2006. After graduating as a pharmacist in 2010, Chad advanced into leadership roles, and today, he proudly serves as a Pharmacy Supervisor in the Miami Division, supporting 37 pharmacies and their teams. “I’ve always been interested in healthcare and wanted to serve my community. The best part of my role is making sure our pharmacies have the tools and support they need to provide excellent care,” said Chad. Outside of work, Chad enjoys time with his wife and daughter, traveling, being near the ocean, and cruising in his 1994 Jeep Wrangler. For the 12th consecutive year, Publix was named on the Best Workplaces in Retail list by Fortune, ranking third of the 20 best large retail workplaces for 2025. Associates reported that the company’s welcoming and promote-from-within culture, premier customer service and dedication to community outreach are some of the reasons they enjoy working at Publix. “It’s an honor to be recognized as one of the best workplaces in the retail industry for the 12th consecutive year,” said Publix Director of Communications Maria Brous. “We’re especially proud of this designation because it’s from our associates who shared their experiences as part of the award process.”
Publix has once again been recognized as a Forbes’ Best-in-State Employer, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has been included. This year, the company ranked No. 12 in Alabama, No. 16 in Florida, No. 12 in Georgia, No. 30 in North Carolina, No. 4 in South Carolina and No. 13 in Tennessee.

Publix broke ground on its first store in Louisville, Kentucky, located at the northwest corner of Terra Crossing Boulevard and Old Henry Road in Jefferson County. Kentucky will mark Publix’s eighth state of operation. The Terra Crossing Shopping Center, 2500 Terra Crossing Blvd., is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023. It will feature a 55,701-square-foot store with a drive-thru Publix Pharmacy and an adjacent 3,200-square-foot Publix Liquors offering beer, wine and spirits. This will be the first Publix Liquors located outside the state of Florida.
