"Rapid Response was my first full-time job after graduating college. I was shy and kept to myself," said Emily, a #TeamRapid Technical Writer celebrating a decade with us this month. "I've had good managers who have pushed me outside my comfort zone and given me opportunities to progress in the company. My experience at Rapid has gotten me out of my shell and helped me gain the confidence to advance my career," she said. After serving in the Monitoring Center for a year, Emily joined the CAD team in 2015 before moving to the Training & Quality Assurance Department to become a Shift Trainer. "I had the opportunity to strengthen my understanding of policies and procedures, which led me to become a Technical Writer." "Rapid has been very good to me. The management team is supportive, the benefits are great, and there are a lot of opportunities to grow," said Emily.

"Monitoring Specialists are the backbone of Rapid Response. I love working directly with our customers and seeing firsthand the impact I make," said Lorraine, a Sonitrol Team Specialist who has remained a staple in our Operations department since 2004. As the contact between Rapid Dealers, their customers, and dispatch agencies, Lorraine plays a vital role in protecting life and property. "Every day is different. That's one of my favorite parts of this job. As a Sonitrol Team Specialist, my responsibilities depend on many variables, including customer needs, weather, and mechanical errors. I've learned that it's important to be patient and flexible," said Lorraine. Congratulations on 20 years at Rapid Response, Lorraine!
Wayne is celebrating 20 years at Rapid Response this month! He joined #TeamRapid in 2004, and after just one year as a Monitoring Specialist, Wayne became a Shift Trainer. By 2007, Wayne's strong leadership and interpersonal skills led him to become a Supervisor. In this role, Wayne utilized his experience to help guide and support our Operations department for nearly ten years! "I have enjoyed the opportunity to help others," says Wayne. By 2017, Wayne was ready to advance his career further, joining the Workforce Management team where he has worked diligently for over seven years. "One of my favorite projects has been forecasting staffing." When asked about the most valuable lesson he has learned at Rapid Response Wayne explained, "It is important to listen and be solution-focused."
