Remitly is proud to stand along with 9 other tech companies that are championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace for 2020 and the future!
Right around 1 year ago, Remitly hired Kim Vu as our fearless leader and champion for all things related to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI). There is still more work for us as a company to do, but we definitely put in a lot of work this last year to promote, practice, and advocate for DEI. Kim was also recently recognized by Reverb as a "female firebrand" - a mission driven woman who stands up and speaks up for herself and others. She is a vocal advocate, amplifying people of all backgrounds and identities. Authentic. Kind. Collaborative. Resilient. Integrity is more important to her than going with the flow.

Remitly, along with other companies such as Indeed, and Clover Health, joined a growing group of companies pledging a new embedded and progressive look at D&I in the workplace long before the BLM demonstrations began. Yesterday was a big day for Remitly, and in particular our CEO, Matt Oppenheimer. A big congratulations to our fearless leader - a very well-deserved win indeed!
