How Safran is helping to develop sustainable fuels In 2022, in line with its strategy to decarbonize aviation, Safran invested in Ineratec, a German company specializing in the production of low-carbon synthetic fuels. Hello Tomorrow 2023: Safran focuses on innovative “deep-tech” solutions On March 9th and 10th, 2023, Safran took part in the annual Hello Tomorrow trade show which brings together the players of the highly-innovative world of Deep Tech*. Marjorie Cavarroc is a research engineer at Safran Tech’s Materials & Processes division, and she has just been awarded the 2022 Irène Joliot-Curie Prize in the “Woman, Research and Company” category. At 42 years old, this research enthusiast has her feet firmly on the ground… and her head in the stars!

Franck Mazereel has an unfaltering passion for archeology, to which he devotes a large part of his life, but he also has one foot in the future as an engine test technician involved in development at Safran Aircraft Engines. He opened the doors of the famous “test benches”, an essential cog in the Group's Research and Development, where concentration is extreme and trust between associates is crucial.
Safran Innovation Day took place on October 20 at the Paris Saclay site. This annual celebration of innovation closed with the Safran Innovation Awards, an inhouse competition open to all Group employees.
Women in Industry awards: The results are in! Valérie Patuel, Managing Director and CEO at Safran Helicopter Engines Singapore, won the International Women's Trophy at the Women in Industry Awards ceremony held in Paris on September 29 by the newspaper “L’Usine Nouvelle”. Emilie Herny, Chief Technology Officer at the Saint-Exupéry Research & Technology Institute in Toulouse (on secondment to Safran), and Aurélie Gouby, Chief Data Officer at Safran Aircraft Engines, were also finalists in two other categories. We present a portrait of them.
