Through its charitable foundation, Santander Consumer (SC) is donating $5.6 million in grants to 39 nonprofit organizations in the SC communities of Dallas, Mesa, and Tampa Bay. The donations will fund resources needed to help the most vulnerable communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We recognize that the effects and ongoing concerns of the pandemic have adversely affected millions of individuals with grave consequences. Santander US has become a national member company of Financial Literacy for All – a consortium of US companies and leaders from business, professional sports, non-profit organizations and entertainment that’s dedicated to embedding financial literacy within the US culture. The 10-year long commitment was launched in May by Operation Hope, an existing partner of Santander US, and their CEO, John Hope Bryant, who joined a US-wide panel discussion earlier this year with Ana Botin to talk about Responsible Banking and Diversity. Santander’s involvement complements our existing efforts across the US to promote greater financial well-being among our customers and employees.
