Snap Cares had an incredible 2023! More than 60% of our team members volunteered, contributing 2,467 hours to make a positive difference for those in need. We are committed to positive change. Through the Snap Finance Foundation, we awarded 16 grants to nonprofit organizations. Our collective outreach extended to 22 nonprofit partners, reinforcing our dedication to meaningful community connections. And the highlight? For the second year in a row, the Snap Finance Foundation has distributed grants exceeding $150,000 through its Community Grant program. Through this initiative, Snap has recognized and supported 16 nonprofit organizations for their outstanding contributions in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Costa Rica - countries where Snap Finance maintains its offices. Meet Andy Smith, Managing Director of our Snap Finance U.K. office. Andy was our first hire in the U.K. and has been with Snap for six years. After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2000, he joined the Barclays Graduate Program. At Barclaycard, he learned the ins and outs of logistics, management, and marketing. Andy’s career kept him in the finance industry, working with companies such as GE Capital, Santander, BrightHouse, and NewDay before finding his place at Snap. What Andy loves most about working at Snap is the chance to help his team grow professionally while embracing the hustle of day-to-day business and creating something impactful. His career advice is simple: “Don’t be afraid to hire smarter people than yourself and create an environment where it’s OK to make mistakes, fail fast, and learn quickly. We’re grateful for our partnership with the Thanksgiving Heroes Foundation, a national nonprofit with a mission to feed families in need of meals on Thanksgiving across the U.S. Together with THANKSGIVING HEROES FOUNDATION, Snap volunteers participated in our third annual event to help feed 6,170 families (30,850 people) and deliver more than 370,000 pounds of food in Utah, Texas, and Arizona!
