Congratulations are in order for George Perrin, Senior Manager of Tech Ops Training, who was recently honored with the Charles Taylor "Master Mechanic" Award from the Federal Aviation Administration. This award, named for Charles Taylor, the first aviation mechanic in powered flight, recognizes the lifetime accomplishments of senior mechanics. We’re proud to have George as a part of the Spirit Family. His hard work, dedication, and excellence in his field keep us soaring higher every day!
A cornerstone to the civil rights movement and the home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Atlanta is a must-see destination to learn about the history and legacy of Black Americans. In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth, our Black Resource Group traveled to Atlanta to visit the famous neighborhoods and landmarks crucial to Black history. From seeing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s home to appreciating the beautiful murals of the famous Sweet Auburn neighborhood, our Spirit Team Members were honored to celebrate the Black brilliance of this beautiful city. #SpiritStrong

Our Spirit Generation is growing up before our eyes! The Spirit Charitable Foundation is celebrating four years of supporting the children of Mano Amiga school in Zipaquira, Colombia. We are proud to announce that Meisha Coulter, Sr. Director & Legal Counsel, has been selected as a member and Co-Chair of the Anti-Discrimination Subcommittee, a Subcommittee of the Aviation Consumer Protection Advisory Committee (ACPAC). Ms. Coulter will co-chair the sub-committee and work alongside 18 industry and inclusion experts selected by U.S. DOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg to review airlines’ policies, procedures, and practices to prevent various types of discrimination against air travelers. Meisha is an incredible asset to the Spirit team. Her legal expertise and compassion for people will serve the sub-committee well.
