This #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, we are proud to partner with Blue Star Families and The Headstrong Project, two organizations dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of the military community. Through our partnerships, our goal is to be the leading corporate advocate and voice for transitioning veterans, military spouses and military families. For each new Starbucks Military eGift purchased between 5/21-6/1, we’ll give $5 to each organization. To show your support, get one for yourself or send as a gift to someone else today: sbux.co/3dBIgoV
In support of our partners (employees) this year, we expanded our benefits, partnering with Lyra Health to offer 20 mental health sessions with a therapist each year and partnering with Headspace Inc. to provide in-app stress relief, meditation and anxiety support. We are still listening and learning, and are committed to supporting our partners and their mental health.
This May, nearly 700 Starbucks partners will graduate with a degree from Arizona State University through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which covers 100 percent tuition for eligible partners attending ASU’s online program.
Starbucks is proud to share that our partners (employees) had the opportunity to serve more than 1 million cups of free coffee to first responders and front-line healthcare workers during the COVID-19 outbreak. To continue showing our gratitude, we are extending our offer for free tall brewed coffees (hot or iced) to first responders and front-line healthcare workers throughout May. From all of us at Starbucks, thank you for all that you do!
To support people facing hunger and the food banks and organizations who serve them, The Starbucks Foundation is donating $1 million to Feeding America and, in partnership with Starbucks Canada, $1 million in food and financial aid to Canadian food banks and outreach services. We have also expanded our support to food banks by providing over 700,000 meals since we closed our cafés in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In every community we serve, partners are the foundation of Starbucks fundamental Mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit. Today, we announced a commitment of $10 million (USD) to establish the Starbucks Global Partner Emergency Relief Program, part of our ongoing efforts to support partners (employees) around the world impacted by COVID-19.
