At Sunstates, we pride ourselves on our company culture. Driving that is our Mission and Vision statements which are essential to our everyday decisions. When our Annual Leadership Conference is held in person, we take the time to discuss them more in-depth and have the team sign their name on a Mission/Vision poster, promising to continue to follow their guidelines.
Sunstates is thrilled to announce the 2022 Supervisor of the Year award for their efforts in 2021. We had 18 extraordinary nominations from across the country, and picking the winner isn’t an easy task. All the supervisors nominated are knowledgeable, reliable employees who go above and beyond daily; however, only one can receive the honor of being the Supervisor of the Year. Congrats to Sonny Schrieber of the Atlanta region! Sonny has been a member of the Sunstates team for almost five years and works at a site in Alabama. He presents a clear understanding of the policies and procedures at his site, accompanied by a balanced manner of leadership and management. The environment he has created through his administration has been outstanding, having nearly zero turnovers over the past year. The site is armed, and Sonny has built this team to respond with excellent customer service, great discipline and the positive attitude needed to create success. In my encounters with the client, they have used words such as complete trust, positive influence and down to earth.
Last week we were fortunate to hold our Annual Leadership Conference in person for the first time after a few years of virtual ones due to Covid. Members of the Sunstates team joined together in Raleigh with a jam-packed schedule to strengthen relationships, as well as motivate and mentor our team. Over the next several days, we’ll be highlighting award winners and meaningful moments. We’re starting with our Region of the Year Winner… Congratulations to the Savannah team for earning their first Region of the Year Award! The results were determined by factors including profit, revenue growth, training completion, client survey results, unbilled over-time percentage and more—great job to a fantastic team led by Regional Manager Da’Von McClure and Regional Director Jim Bernier. Sunstates welcomes Daisha Bracey, a United States Navy military police officer veteran, to the Atlanta region as an Operations Manager. Bringing 15 years of experience in law enforcement and the private security sector, she’s a perfect fit for her new role. In Daisha’s past positions, she fostered client relations, grew and developed elite teams and created the curriculum from which those teams trained. Prior to Sunstates, Daisha was an Operations Manager at another contract security company. She managed nine site supervisors and 81 officers. Her tasks included developing security policies, training for emergency response actions, conducting site drills, recruiting team members and more. Her tenure in the security industry has been recognized and awarded on a regional and national level.
