Last month Chief Operating Officer Denis Kelly had a nostalgic trip while visiting a new client site in Fishkill, NY. When meeting the new Site Supervisor, Helen Veach, he made an amazing discovery. The site is located at the same campus where Denis started as a security officer many years ago. Upon meeting Helen, they discussed how long she had been there. When Denis stated he began as a security officer at that site in January 1992 for a different company, Helen acknowledged, “I worked for that company too and started in February 1992!“ Meaning they both worked there for a short time together over 30 years ago. Shortly after, Denis moved with the company to an account manager position at a different site. Pictured is Helen Veach and Denis and Denis at the main guard booth that was one of the posts that he worked back in 1992, which is no longer utilized. What a fantastic trip down memory lane! #SecurityCompany #SecurityPersonnel #Team #SecurityServices #CorporateSecurity #SunstatesSecurity #Security #Leadership #Growth #NYBusiness #NewYork #SecurityOfficer
We received a fantastic email from our client’s Director of Security. He wanted to recognize a Sunstates employee, Jason Fitts, for his hard work and always going above and beyond at their Nevada site. We appreciate it when our clients take the time to reach out to notify us of the incredible things our team does. “I wanted to take a moment to commend Jason Fitts and thank you for employing him to support our relationship. Jason, time and again, is a solid performer for us. Not only does Jason do an outstanding job in his daily duties, but he goes beyond that, mentoring new guards and handling special requests (which happen more than I’d like) out at our site. When my team knows Jason is on post, we know that he will follow my philosophy of the 3 E’s (Engage, Engage, Engage) and we know that any situation is well in hand. Of specific note, Jason has engaged during several fires recently, that without his calm, cool, professionalism, have saved us on many occasions. A sincere thank you for his hard work and exceptional work ethic.

David Becketts joins the Sunstates team as an Operations Manager for the Charlotte region. His various positions and years in the security field enhanced many skills making him highly qualified for his new role. David held several security officer roles previously that were assigned through government contracts. His most recent title before joining Sunstates was Security Officer Lieutenant. Duties included supervising over one hundred and eighty security officers, coordinating and implementing policies, conducting comprehensive reviews of security plans and monitoring surveillance and alarms. In addition, he prepared written reports, conducted an inventory of weapons and equipment, mentored and trained employees, implemented contract-specific policies and reported all deficiencies to the site manager via phone, followed by a detailed email. Senior VP of Operations Robb Rogalski visited sites in the Atlanta region and acknowledged team members. Robb is with Officer Ariana Barber, who is one of the most outgoing officers we have. Her positive attitude welcomes every guest that enters the facility. Officer Barber has been a member of the Sunstates team since October 2021. Unfortunately, the horse is not a member of the Sunstates team, but our staff enjoys its presence. #Atlanta #AtlantaBusiness #EmployeeAppreciation #SecurityServices #SunstatesSecurity #SecurityPersonnel #SecurityOfficer #SecurityGuardService #Team #Leadership #CorportateSecurity
