Employee Spotlight: Cynthia Gibson Since joining the Sunstates team in November 2017, Cynthia has been a valuable resource for the Mid-Atlantic team. As the Regional Support Manager, she has many duties vital to the operations of the region. These duties include but are not limited to handling the onboarding processes, overseeing uniform and equipment ordering, training operations manager, officer licensing for various states and more. Her responsibilities are always completed in a timely manner and exceed expectations. Cynthia is persistent, and her dedication shows in her actions-including responding to after-hour emails. Regional Director Gordon Sebree states, "Cynthia has played an essential role in the amazing growth in the Mid-Atlantic region. She never complains about the new challenges created daily. A big welcome to Derric Murff! Derric Murff joined Sunstates Security as an Operations Manager in the Indianapolis area in July 2021. His previous positions and experience make him an excellent fit for his new role. Derric is a former Police Officer with over eight years of service through the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD). While in the department, he maintained multiple responsibilities and positions such as Street Patrol Officer, Crisis Intervention Team Officer, new hire interview board member and Incident Commander on several large-scale incidents. Prior to Derric entering his law enforcement career, he worked numerous years in the contract security industry. There he gained knowledge in loss prevention, roving patrols, armed security and site security supervision. Derric graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Media Arts and Science and a minor in Computer Science.
