Our 10th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway was our biggest and best event yet! From fire departments, free haircuts, massages, an exotic petting zoo, and so much more, our stores really went all out. This year, we had over 1,000 stores participate and give away 140,000 backpacks and school supplies to local students.
This past month, we celebrated the Fife, WA store’s remodel with a $1,000 donation to a nonprofit chosen by the local store. The Fife team chose to donate to Angel One Foundation.
Our S.A.G.E. (Sexuality and Gender Equality) CORE group hosted an amazing Evening with Pride event, in-person at our Fishers, IN office and virtually for the rest of the company. Guests included TCC President Chad Jensen, Director of Muncie OUTreach Laura Janney, and performances from drag queen Aura Aurora and drag king Keylin Forte. All proceeds from the event went to Muncie OUTreach, a nonprofit that provides an accepting environment to enhance the personal growth of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. It is the county’s only LGBTQ youth group.
At the start of the year, we kicked off our #10DaysofGiving: 10 kind acts leading up to our 10th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.
