Cheesecake is going zoological! Lehigh Valley recently volunteered at the zoo where they painted observation decks in the zebra and ostrich exhibit and the duck and goose pond exhibit. As proud supporters of the culinary arts, we recently participated in our first ProStart Program Culinary Clash and it was a big success! Over nine working sessions, leaders from our Culinary and Kitchen Operations teams worked with student sous chef Ana on recipe development, competition logistics, booth design, equipment preparation, and presentation skills. We are thrilled to announce that Ana and the team brought home awards for best bite overall and best station presentation. We’re excited to support young people pursuing careers in the culinary arts. Recently, Lisa asked if she could be allowed to stay late on her opening shift. A special guest was coming who specifically requested her to be his server. This special guest has Autism and is non-verbal but made it very clear to his parents he wanted to spend his 15th birthday at The Cheesecake Factory. When they called, they explained that Cheesecake is the only restaurant that makes their son feel comfortable - and it's all because of the care Lisa has shown during past visits. Lisa made special arrangements for the birthday boy – decorating the table, presenting a special dessert and even made a birthday card! She has been with Cheesecake for over 25 years and to this day, she still puts so much effort into caring for each and every one of her guests in a meaningful way. We are so lucky to have her on our team.
