They’ll receive $10,000 from Thumbtack to help them to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. At Thumbtack, we care about showing up for people in need. For the past two years, we’ve hosted our Thumbtack Giveback event where our Thumbtack pros nominate a non-profit for us to donate to. But we’re not the only ones thinking of others. Our Home Care team is working to redefine the Thumbtack experience, which often means deviating from existing components from our design system to test out new ones. To gather an understanding of the work required to implement new features, the team has turned to prototyping. By building out a prototype, they're able to dive into code to better understand challenges, as well as provide an initial demo of a particular feature for our Product and Design teams.
