Meet Kezia! This #WomensHistoryMonth we’re spotlighting women at Verily and the work they’re doing to advance precision health. First up is Kezia Cook-Robinson, Sr. Privacy Counsel, our vBlack ERG Lead, and Mentor for National Science and Technology Medals Foundation's program for STEM students from underrepresented communities. When we asked her what part of her job excites her most, she said: "Everything!" Kezia shared thoughts about the International Women's Day theme #EmbraceEquity: “I always say that everything we do is a team effort. 'Embrace equity' means that we must all work together to ensure that the opportunity to live your best life is afforded to everyone and everybody no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic status. We must all work on ourselves and collectively together to believe and execute on the fact that we all have the right to live and have equitable access to resources that will make it our best life.”
A look inside precision medicine: New approaches to clinical research bring the potential to reduce costs and increase study diversity, while generating robust evidence. But, we must get data quality right. Amy Abernethy, our President, Product Development & Chief Medical Officer noted: "You have to deal with the data quality challenges that come from combining datasets such as data conflicts from multiple source datasets representing the same variable, which is something we’re working to advance as an industry.” Read more about RWD trends in Inside Precision Medicine, including the opportunity to create next generation trial designs that are more efficient and inclusive:
