We’re proud to announce that our CEO, Worthing Jackman, is a 2021 Glassdoor Top CEO! gldr.co/CEOs. Earlier this year, Worthing was also ranked as a “Best CEO” and Mary Anne Whitney was ranked as a “Best CFO” as part of the Institutional Investor 2021 All-American Executive Team, and Waste Connections was recognized as a “Most Honored Company.” “Winning the Glassdoor award is particularly meaningful since the ratings and feedback come from current and former employees,” said Worthing when he learned of the honor. “But these awards are really a recognition of Waste Connections, not just one individual. The credit belongs to all of our employees who work hard every day to make Waste Connections a great place to work and a high performance organization.” #togetherwearebetter #wasteconnectionsproud #TopCEOs #wasteconnectionscares #wasteandrecycling #somuchmorethantrash #safetyfirst #wctogetherwearebetter
Did you know moving into the summer months, the waste industry typically sees a 10-15% increase of incidents in comparison with the rest of the year? Changing environments, traffic patterns, heat, humidity, increased volumes, increased/changing pedestrian/bicycle traffic and other summer month considerations can create new or different risks on the roads. At Waste Connections, our #1 value is Safety. Increased awareness to both safety and potential hazards reduces the risk of incidents on the road. On June 1st, our summer safety campaign, "Perfect Day of Safety" will kick- off. Take a look at members of the corporate leadership team in The Woodlands, Texas, signing the summer safety commitment banner. #togetherwearebetter #wasteconnectionsproud #safetyfirst #firstvalue #wasteconnectionscares #wasteandrecycling #somuchmorethantrash #wctogetherwearebetter
Each year on April 28th, the U.S. and Canada recognize Workers Memorial Day. It is the day set aside to remember the lives of those lost to work related fatal incidents and recognize the enormous impact those tragedies have on families, coworkers and our communities. At Waste Connections, the safety of our team members is ALWAYS our 1st value and paramount in everything we do. Every decision we make must pass the values test. We join the nations in mourning the loss of life, but we constantly strive to foster the workplace culture that prevents these tragic losses from occurring.
