WinnCompanies CEO Gilbert Winn will address the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee today, on behalf of rental housing owners and operators, as the committee assesses federal incentive programs to keep renters in their homes and prevent evictions. To date, we have applied for $22.6 million for 15,000 households and have received $13.16 million. There are an additional 15,500 households at risk of eviction who have not requested housing assistance but are eligible. Westmass Area Development Corporation (Westmass) and WinnDevelopment have secured state financing for the $29.9 million adaptive reuse redevelopment of Mill 8 at the historic Ludlow Mills complex in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Construction is expected to begin in early 2022 to transform the landmark mill into 95 mixed-income apartments for adults 55 and older and a center for supportive healthcare services.
