When Aksel Krabbe Nielsen first joined LEGOLAND® Billund dressed up as a cowboy back in 1983, the plan was to stay for only one summer to get some fresh professional inspiration – and then go back to being a music and Danish teacher. But he was having so much fun he forgot to leave. 37 years and several roles later, Aksel retires – but not without leaving a legion of fans across LEGO® entities and beyond.
"The strong results are due to our incredible team. When COVID-19 closed stores and offices, our colleagues did everything they could to stay safe and bring play to children and families around the world," our CEO, Niels B. Christiansen shares.
