Rates are high given that it is essentially a high deductible plan that you could purchase from the marketplace for about the same cost. The employer does not bear much of the burden

Given the sad state of Dish's health insurance coverage, this alone should convince prospective employees that Dish is not good place to work.

It is a high deductible plan, which can make it difficult to pay the higher bills you can get. Cigna does a good job, but it is what it is.

Decent price for coverage, but the deductible for a single person was $2,500.

High deductibles, not very much help unless you have a huge medical expense.

Does not include Mental Health benefits. Fairly high deductible for employee only, average deductible for family compared to what I have seen at other companies. However, insurance does not kick in (including prescriptions) before deductible is met except for preventative care. Must plan for an HSA or FSA to help wtih medical costs for your family. Company will contribute up to $20 per pay period to your HSA if enrolled in their benefits program and you complete a medical history survey and pledge to be tobacco free.
