401K Match, Flex time, WFH

Every other Friday off; lots of walking due to size of facility and parking lots

Great health benefits, vacation (can go in the whole 1 week/40 hours), flex time. Cafeteria, cool environment. Working for a military company that build air crafts.

401K match is very good, medical benefit is lousy and expensive, prescription is good, eyeglasses benefit is weak, dental is pretty good, work life balance is not a balance at all, and they need to allow people to work from home, 1 day of vacation is earned for every month worked, personal illness time (sick) is not published in any employee handbook and they monitor it and personal business time and send you monthly reports on it that management uses to rate you at the end of the year

the pension plan was decent, but it was frozen on people who had been there for many years keeping them from truly reaping the benefit of their last several years.

I got paid a really good salary. The non-government contracting jobs I have been working lately have been terrible salary wise.

I worked the 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). But the hours were actually flex, so the 4/10 (10 hours a day, for four days a week) was also an option. You don't get that many places.

We have a 50% match on our 401k plan which is wonderful and we start with 15 vacation days per year which can be rolled over if not used.

The company benefits are on par with other major defense contractors. 401(k) match is 50% up to 8% (the maximum match is 4%).
