Vacation & Paid Time Off

You may not have time to take all of your paid vacation but you can carry over anything you are granted each year.

PTO at 2 weeks is dismal

I believe their vacation & paid time off benefits are very competitive. A few years ago they changed to reflect one's years of service, not just with Shell but in the marketplace, to calculate your number of weeks vacation per year.

Not enough given in the beginning, but better than nothing. Gets better as you stay longer with the company.

best thing is you do get your vacation pay bad thing is usually they skimp you in a way with the check

You can ask for it off, but it is very hard to actually get time off. If they like you, they will work with you.

Vacation is industry standard, and increases with work experience You can buy more vacation if desired (unpaid leave)

Typical oil and gas on vacation but plus side is you can carry 100% over of vacation annually

Up to 6 wks paid vacation with ability to carry over additional 6 wks
