Volunteer Time Off

Yeah, Volunteer Time off, even when you don't want it. Its mandatory. Need those hours because they pay so little? Too bad, they are overstaffed because of the pool of extra employees they keep on staff because of their high turn over rate.

Not many volunteer time off but have it.

There's no such thing as unpaid time off. You either take paid time off that you earn slowly or get fired, no exceptions.

Used to get a lot of VTO, now its all Extra hours. So if you like that kind of thing, go for it. Otherwise, its trash.

The rare occasion when you could actually get the break.

I won't ever take it, but I guess it's a good thing. It is unpaid unless you choose to use your PTO, which I wouldn't want to do.

sure they offer VTO -- voluntary time off then slam you with OT the next day because nobody showed up for work -- they got a better job.

Sometimes this is a forced thing, you take it even if you don't want to.

VTO offered daily, Prepaid time off also offered about a week out.
