I am glad Ups have Job Training. It lets you know they understand that job training is very important to the growth and operating of any business.

some of the training is confusing and some of the trainers need to be trained themselves

It was very simple job training. They just wanted to make sure that you were able to deliver packages in the MN winter without slipping on the ice and injuring yourself.

At UPS, I am not presented with job training. I am a part-time seasonal employee. I have just begun to work with UPS. I imagine that the full-time employees are presented with training that are beneficial to their employees.

For employees that are in management, they will be thrown into the operation to sink or swim. They may be offered the chance to go to training school, but this is typically a few years after they have been doing the job.
