You can not choose your doctor and you have to get a recommendation from your doctor to go see a specialist it is rather annoying to have to wait weeks for a appointment when you could just make a appt with the specialist and be done with it.

The best thing is you can go for anything the worse part is it's a huge process to do anything. And there is checks and balances so there a lot of visit and trip back and forth but that's if your close to a VA hospital
