You get seen, but there are so many soldiers, family members, and local retired veterans with what seems like fewer HCPs that they get you in and out. There are some peculiar procedures that must be followed before a patient can get, say, a MRI. Even if it is apparent, the patient will probably be seen two or three times before setting an appointment for a MRI, which then takes another month or two before they can fit you in. Just my experience.

Active duty medical costs are fully covered, but care is managed, so you'll always go through a primary care physician for most new problems.

It's free. With that comes some long waits and frustration to get specialized care but it's free...

Tricare Prime is the best health insurance available. Never dealing with premiums, copays and deductibles.

As the service member your health care is free. The quality of service is not top notch, but it gets the job done. You will have to pay for family health care and you have different options available as to the level of care.

No copays or insurance premium to pay. All care is provided for the Soldier and their family members at no cost.

It is not the best healthcare, compared to a decent civilian office job.
