They offer weekly online workshops to improve teaching practices.

There is no training until you get hired and then it is basic workshops. Depending on the teacher mentor teaching them it depends on how much "training" you get.

There is none. Once you are hired there are workshops that can help in certain areas, but if you are not a natural teacher or have experience good luck!

A lot of the training is online and done by viewing YouTube videos and reading information on their teacher forum and in their "Solutions" area. Most of the other teachers are also very willing to help each other out with questions or problems.

You get what you make of it. They offer you the materials and you choose how in-depth to train. There is a lot of help and beneficial material out there to find.

It was horrible. They give you a bunch of powerpoints and don't tell you how to teach them or even what on earth some of the slides are for. You have to figure it out on your own. Then they are very specfic with what they want from each slide but they don't tell you until your observation.

Videos are inconsistent with the contract and there is not much information to encompass the intricacies of the job.

VIPKID offers the training you need via multiple online sessions. I was able to skip a good portion of the training because of my abilities as a veteran teacher. However, I have taken advantage of ALL the online tools provided to me -- ways to teach phonics and with TPR to children in another country who do not know my language... Everything you need to learn and train is provided, you just have to take advantage of it.
