Walgreens employees who work 30+ hours per week can choose between two health insurance plans. Comprehensive health, dental and vision plans are available to employees for themselves and their dependents. Employees may choose to enroll in one of two Walgreens Consumer Driven Health Plans, which include an account called a Health Reimbursement Account to help pay for our employees’ healthcare needs. Employees can also choose between two dental programs with the Select option including Adult and Child orthodontia. A competitive and national vision program is also available. 2015 benefits will consist of a wide variety of medical, dental and vision options open to employees at the beginning of the new year.

All the plans are expensive and the price jumps (doubled this year).

They have many plans one of which is awesome just way to expensive. The affordable plans have huge deductibles

Last year was the first year we used a private exchange to pick our health insurance plans, and the plan I chose worked out well. Unfortunately, prices went up and I had to switch plans this year. Walgreens does a decent job of subsidizing the health care insurance. My friends and family tell me my insurance benefits and costs are better than theirs.

Walgreens offers health care benefits, but tries their hardest not to give them to you. Very few employees are treated as full time employees and therefore very few employees have benefits.

They do offer multiple plans on the health exchange, however most of the affordable ones are high deductible now.

I was too broke to afford even the cheapest plan. $7.50/hr 40 hrs a week while also paying for college is not enough.

It's average. You can chose your insurance company and the coverage level.
