The interview process started with a phone introduction. Scheduling the call went fine. I felt like the employee I talked to (a recruiter) was unusually terse with me. I was explained very little about the role and almost nothing about Aledade. When I tried to ask questions about the company, the interviewer told me they would send an email with information about the company. They didn't seem to want to actually tell me anything themselves.
The second interview was with an engineering manager. He asked me some basic background information and stuff about my current position. He then asked a bunch of technical questions, but there was no coding problem given. The questions were mostly about programming language concepts. Nothing too difficult (I thought).
I was then given a coding challenge to complete. It was said to take about 3 hours. I was given 5 days to complete the challenge. The three problems are described in the example questions, but I felt that the auto-grading was failing when it should have passed.
After submitting the assignment, I waited one week without getting any response. I finally emailed the original phone screen recruiter, who told me to call them. During that call, they said they were apparently no longer looking for non-senior candidates, but they would keep me in mind. They also shared that they wished their company had told the m this before screening non-senior engineers.
Aledade does not really value its candidates time, and seems disorganized.
