American Income Life Entry-level Management interview questions

Terrible process. Notice the quotations around "Entry Level Management". I should have known right from the beginning this was a scam. I received an email from this company stating they wanted to thank me for submitting my resume to them and that my qualifications matched a job opening they had. First off I NEVER submitted a resume to them. Second, among my skill set I do not have any management experience. The guy contacted me by phone. I told him right away that I have been in sales before and I do not want to do sales again. He stated over and over that this was not a sales position and he actually started to convince me that I might want to interview. So I foolishly decided to schedule an interview. I got to the office and sat around in the lobby for 20+mins. A lady finally came out and ushered me into a small conference room. She gave me a sheet of paper detailing the job. I immediately noticed that the header on the paper was not "Entry Level Management" but rather "Sales Representative". Before I could say anything the lady launched into a huge speech about what the company does and what this job was. Basic stat: NO Salary this was strictly commission based sales, I was to be one of the entry level sales people. I then told her I was not interested in sales and that the job was presented differently on the phone. She either pretended not to hear me or blatantly ignored me and started asking me sales based questions like "How do you make a sale to someone who has already told you no?" At that point I set down the paper apologized for taking her time (to be polite only I was not sorry) and got up and left. Ironically I received a call a day later from someone else actually offering me the job. I had to just laugh.

Bottom line - this is a scam and a complete waste of time. I applied online in response to a Craigslist Ad seeking "Entry Level Management." No company name or specific job description was given. I received a phone call within 2 hours of applying, lady on the phone asked me basic questions, "what are you currently doing/where do you want to be?" Although it was clear she definitely did not care about the answers. I got asked to do an interview the next morning. When I found out it was Torchmark/AIL I was immediately suspicious and did some research... Nobody has anything nice to say about this company and now neither do I. Be warned, they are luring you in by falsely calling the position "management," but don't be fooled, it's commission based sales. You'll get to your interview, there will be 10 other people there, who just like you, were victim to a good old fashioned bait and switch. Don't give these crooks a second of your time, and make sure to always ask questions when applying for jobs online!
