I applied to AppNexus through LinkedIn. Very quickly, AppNexus approached me and I had a brief chat with someone from the HR which was really good and professional. Following that I had another 40 minutes phone interview with an Engagement Manager that was mainly about my CV, experience and how it is relevant for AppNexus.
If you are able to pass this question based competency evaluation, you will then be asked to come to the office for a full day of interviews with 5-6 AppNexians. Every interview is a new/different challenge, everything is assessed, the whole process can be lengthy, but rewarding as it does give you good insights into AppNexus’ methodologies, global approach and whether you'd be a match for the company. I walked out from the interview feeling very energized, hoping to end-up working in such an exciting environment, surrounded by such smart people.
AppNexus has a refreshing interview process that reflects the job very well. The process was well defined, and the HR team was very good at updating/communicating. It was really a good experience, I learned quite a lot about the ad space and their proprietary platform. After the whole day of interviews, it took about 6 weeks for the HR member to reach out and solidify the offer (It took them few weeks to get back to me only because of the summer break).
