Hiring manager contact 5 weeks later
Initial phone interview the next week
Toward the end of the phone interview, hiring manager says they were working on scheduling further interviews
[Silence for weeks]
I reach back out to hiring manager a month after the first phone call asking for a status update
They reply two days later that they are having "scheduling conflicts" and that they will let me know will know by x day of next week if we can bring you in for an interview.
The day after the day they stated:
Their ATS sends me a default rejection notice
A week AFTER the ATS sent me the default reject, the hiring manager emails me to tell me they are not proceeding with me.
Definitely at least one disorganized unit/hiring manager in the giant machine of this organization. I can't understand how they can allow someone to conduct recruitment with potential staff and portray their organization so poorly to outsiders. Hiring process for such a large institution should be standardized with process and training for hiring manages so a series of events like this does not occur.
