Got an email from bankers and about possible employment, I decided to check it out. I have been unemployed for roughly 2 years so I will take anything I can get. When I got into the office I noticed about 15 other people in there as well, thought to myself oh boy. From that group of people I got a call back to come in for the 2nd interview which consisted of the branch manager and 6 other job seekers. He talked about how compensation works and the renewal payments. He did not tell anyone that you can make 100k your 1st year, he said it is possible but only 1 out of 10 new agents makes it there first year. I thought his honesty was great.
About one week later I received a phone call from Bankers and they asked me to come in for a 1:1 interview. When I went to meet with the branch manager he informed me that I was the only 1 he called back. Then he asked me about me and other questions and the wondered why I thought I could sell insurance.
After the interview he offered me a position, I start as soon as I get my license. Only after accepting the offer and starting my insurance training did I research bankers life.
Needless to say I didn't read too many good things about the company. A lot of complaints about how they treat clients and how certain managers treat there agents. I second guessed working for bankers after I got my license.
After speaking again with the BM from Bankers, I realized that I want to work for him. Many managers on other posts get complained about but I can only praise this guy. I got my license and am excited to start my career with Bankers Life and Casualty.
