Let me start off by saying Box does not not hire MBAs for any Customer Success functions.
I wish I would have known that ahead of time and saved myself some disappointment.
I was lucky to find a great current employee to do an informational with me. She was so awesome and also referred to the CSM role after a few exchanges.
A week after she submitted me, I received an email asking to schedule a screen.
The screen was on a Friday and it was quick. I got 4 questions (see below) and then had the opportunity to ask some of my own. The recruiter followed up with some HR type questions (salary, location, timeframe) and mentioned that I would hear back by the middle of the next week about next steps.
On Tuesday, I received a canned email saying that I did not match "hiring needs." I later found out that that it was most likely because I was considered to be overqualified with my MBA.
It's worth mentioning that once you're rejected, they don't reconsider you for 6 months to a year.
Every Box employee who I have interacted with has been super nice. I'm really disappointed that I was eliminated just for my education even though I had self selected into the function, which gets me on the path of where I want to end up.
The 4 questions I got were:
