Bridgewater Associates Technology Associate interview questions

First off the none of the interviewers smiled very much and all of them tended to have an air of superiority to them when they spoke. A couple of the interviewers were very condescending and tried to talk down the projects I had worked on at my previous job. Judging by the experience it looked the culture was very individualistic and competitive rather than a team-based one accommodating multiple view points. The technical interviews tended to focus on a set of algorithm questions, and didn't value much of real world object modelling, concurrency and cleaner design skills which are more important for business application development.

I applied through my school's career services, then got an email a few weeks later that they'd like me to interview. I did a little research on the company and read a good part of their published Principles. The day before my interview, there was a job fair happening at my school that Bridgewater also came to. I talked to them there where they fiercely questioned my mediocrity. I got another interview offer from that job fair (they didn't know that I already had one) despite my very poor first attempt at talking to the representatives. The interview itself the next day was much more relaxed, which was split into a technical portion and a personal portion where they asked about my passions.
