I sent my resume in and within a few days received an email requesting that I participate in a recorded one-way interview. Also, I was made aware that the recruiting process would take about 3-4 weeks with multiple rounds of interviews. I have a few problems with this approach:
1: This is highly impersonal.
2: From a recruiting perspective, some people just aren't comfortable recording themselves on camera, only to be judged by an HR committee.
3. I think that putting candidates through more than 2 interviews is not only antiquated, it's also polarizing. Not to mention that it would take a month to possibly receive an offer. It's simply torturous and unnecessary.
This company fails to realize that a lot of companies, including some major airlines, are facing a staffing shortage. I don't understand why a company would impose so many obstacles in order to just talk to someone.
Seriously Cloudbeds, get over yourself and perhaps focus on candidate experience.
Oh BTW, I never even bothered with the first one-way camera interview,
