I applied through LinkedIn and a few days later received an email with the next step which was to take an English proficiency test. The test is not too hard, all multiple choice, no listening or speaking tested.
After that, another email invited me to take a one-way recorded interview. The CB staff asked questions on video, I had 1-3 minutes to plan my answers and then I had to record the answer.
Finally, I had a Zoom interview with a staff member. The interviewer was very friendly and answered all of my questions.
The last step was being offered the position, I just received an email saying I had 3 days to confirm or it would be assumed that I declined. This was the step that threw me off as it was very impersonal. The contract offered an extremely low salary considering the worker is in charge of paying local taxes, healthcare, and office supplies. I was disappointed to have to decline because the salary did not cover my needs.
Two years ago remote working was a unique perk but after the pandemic there are more remote companies paying fair salaries for their workers. I recommend Cloudbeds to review the remuneration for their current and future employees, especially the international ones.
