I was approached by a recruiter about the role at Confluent and was left with a very positive impression of the company after an initial screening call. This was followed by 3 separate face to face interviews with people from different departments. These interviews were done in a fairly traditional manner; ie. talk through cv, understanding the role, career development, question time and of course what Confluent do. I find this format of 'no nasty surprise' interviews to be the most effective as it gives both parties the chance to show off their strongest attributes. The only point for improvement would be reducing the number of times needed to visit the office as this isn't always easy to arrange if currently employed; but overall responsiveness and speed of everyone involved was excellent!
