I met with two managers virtually. I had previously worked with Curriculum Associates in a similar internship capacity and enjoyed my time, so I was hoping to return now that I have graduated. One manager was very enthused and engaged during the interview process and the other was clearly checked out and uninterested -- there was little to no eye contact and they hardly responded to my answers to the point of the other manager continually asking them what they thought after each uncomfortable pause. I felt comfortable speaking to my experience (especially with cross functional teams and products at CA in particular) and had no real issue in the interview. I asked for feedback, if there was anything more I could elaborate on or if I had shown any "dealbreakers". I was told that I gave an excellent interview and that my skills and experience would be great for the role. I was not offered a position nor further interviews.
As the vacancy was on the visibly uninterested manager's team, I'm curious if they already had someone in mind for the position or if I was not a fit for them personally.
