I interviewed at DaVita twice over a 10-month period. The first time was a telephone interview. The person was nice but I never heard back from them and they never returned my phone calls. Even the recruiter wouldn't return my phone calls.
The second time was a face-to-face interview. About 15 minutes into the interview the hiring manager said I wasn't qualified for the job and the interview was over. They could have told me that over the phone and saved me a trip to downtown Denver.
Both of the positions were temporary contract jobs.
One question I wanted to ask them, but didn't, was why they were hiring contractors instead of permanent employees for project manager positions. Both hiring managers portrayed DaVita as this "touchy, feely community" where everybody is committed to the organization, and everyone hugs each other and likes each other. If that were the case, then why were they hiring contractors to manage their projects?
