5 stages (South Korea):
1. Zoom call w/ a recruiter. Just expectations for the job.
2. HackerRank OA. 4 questions - Bash, AWS, DataDog Agent installation, Multiple Choice
3. Hiring manager screen. Zoom call, 45 minutes. Questions about your experience and motivations.
4. Onsite culture fit interview. Two interviewers, an engineer and a manager from the team. 45 minutes. Further questions about yourself and how you'd handle challenges.
5. Onsite technical round. Peer-troubleshooting an example scenario w/ one of their engineers acting as a customer.
Made it till the 4th round. The culture fit round was confusing. On the surface it looks like they're checking if you're a good fit with the team or not but it felt like a stage for the team to directly screen out applicants when they find a better one. I thought I had a solid conversation with the team and answered all the questions to the best of my ability. My experiences were suited for the job as well but to some degree it is just luck here. Be aware.
