I recently completed the interview process for the Senior Software Engineer position at DoiT, and I wanted to share how positive and refreshing the entire experience was. From the very first call, Oscar from the Talent Acquisition team was incredibly helpful. He clearly outlined the role and what the company is looking for, but what stood out most was how much he focused on me — my career goals, motivations, and what I was truly looking for in my next opportunity. That mindset really left a great impression on me.
The second stage was a 1-hour conversation with the Director of Engineering, where we dove into engineering principles, my day-to-day practices, and past experiences. It felt more like a collaborative conversation than a traditional interview, which made the experience both comfortable and insightful.
Finally, I had a 1.5-hour technical session with two engineers from the team. The task was based on a realistic, practical challenge — the kind of problem you'd actually encounter on the job. I appreciated how natural and collaborative it felt, with lots of healthy back-and-forth discussion. It didn’t feel like a test — it felt like working with future teammates.
Throughout the process, Oscar continued to be a rockstar — always keeping me informed, answering all my questions in detail, and making sure I had everything I needed at every step.
All in all, the experience was genuinely one of the best interview processes I've been through. I walked away with a very positive impression of the team and culture at DoiT.
