The interview process was good and refreshingly different from what seems to be common in the tech industry, where some folks use an interview to intimidate or belittle the interviewer. The interviews at DoiT were professional and authentic. Every stage was both conversational yet professional including the Talent Acquisition partner, Nelly. She was brilliant from the start and that I believe set the tone for the rest of the stages.
It was 4 stages: 1) screening, 2)high-level technical interview with the Director of Engineering (30 minutes), 3a) technical interview with 2 team members (45 minutes) where they deep-dived into my experience and working style, 3b) System design interview with another two team members (45 minutes), 4) and final interview (technical/behavioural and equally conversational yet professional) with the VP of Engineering (45 minutes).
The entire process took 3 to 4 weeks.
