I was reached out to buy an in-house recruiter in LinkedIn about a job that was not posted. She indicated they don’t post most of their roles and just contact people directly and pull them into the interview process. After I replied saying I’d chat, the Recruiter scheduled a zoom call to have an initial dialogue about the role, with very few questions asked. She Indicated the entire process would take a few weeks, but she would get me an update later in the week after talking to the VP of talent about scheduling the 1:1 interview with her. She did follow up for ten 10 days, so I sent my first follow up email. Then I followed up two weeks later with another message, no response. I would never condone ghosting, but I wasn’t l an organic applicant, SHE CONTACTED ME! As a TA leader, I understand that a lot of messages get lost, and you cannot always respond to every single candidate in a timely fashion. However, if one of my recruiters got a follow up message after a follow up message and didn’t reply I would be very unhappy. It seems that they need better performance standards for the recruiters and higher expectations for candidate experience. I’ll consider this a blessing in disguise that things didn’t get more serious, just wanted to post for others to see who may be interested in co side ring this company.
